We’re still more than a week away from the official launch of Samsung’s latest foldable devices – the Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 – so naturally it’s time to leak the entire hardware designs online.
Leaker Evan Blass posted a set of apparently official photos in more than 91 mobilesViews the two phones from almost all angles, including the folded and unfolded orientation. There appear to be three color options for the Z Fold 4 (black, beige, and gray) and four for the Z Flip 4 (black, gold, blue, and purple).
If you’ve been hoping for radically different designs for any device compared to last year’s models, you’ll likely be disappointed. They both seem to have inherited essentially a similar look, right down to the camera bumps and the black stripe across the top of the Z Flip’s back.
Because of the black wallpaper on the Fold 4’s display, it’s hard to tell if the internal display will once again have an under-display selfie camera, which underwent a disappointing performance on last year’s phone. The images also do not provide a definitive answer as to whether the Z Fold 4 will include a built-in stand for the S Pen, a feature Previously rumored.
But the lack of major design changes does not rule out useful improvements to this year’s foldable devices. For starters, a previous leak suggested that the Z Flip 4’s foldable screen may have been upgraded to lead to a Less visible wrinkle along the middle of the screen when opened, and one report claimed that the Z Flip 4 will contain a file Larger secondary screen From outside. There could also be software improvements on the way for the Z Fold 4 thanks to Android 12 foran update to Google’s mobile operating system that includes improvements designed specifically for devices with large screens.
For more information we will have to Wait until August 10, when both phones are expected to be announced alongside a new smartwatch; The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5.
