“Between 1Er On November 1997 and November 15, in Montreal, Peter Nicard was sexually assaulted, ”we read in an arrest warrant issued on Monday, which also alleges that the same victim was forcibly imprisoned.
Nicard, 80, is a Finnish-Canadian multi-millionaire who has amassed his fortune in women’s fashion. He had a jealous reputation until sexual scandals erupted about him and his company, Nicard.
For 25 years, according to U.S. officials, the wealthy businessman used his influence to satisfy the sexual desires of women and young people.
It may have targeted particularly financially insecure women, or may have been psychologically weakened by past abuses.
“Friends”
“He restrained them with threats, or even false promises of career advancement,” the U.S. Justice Department said in a statement.
And to better control the victims he called his “friends”, he sometimes kept an eye on them, or abducted them.
According to U.S. officials, he may have employed women and teenagers during “nursery parties” on his luxury property in California or the Bahamas.

“Nicard used his company’s resources and staff to intimidate and threaten individuals who were allegedly sexually abused,” US-organized criminal prosecutors allege.
The U.S. investigation was conducted jointly by the FBI and the New York Police.
Previously in Canada
However, if the United States is interested in prosecuting him, it could take a few more years for Nicard to face trial in Toronto, where he is currently being held.
In this case, she faces six counts of sexual assault and three counts of forcible imprisonment for alleged acts committed against women between 1987 and 2006.
“I have ordered that Peter Nicard be deported to the United States to face charges, but only after his trial in Canada,” Federal Justice Minister David Lametti said on Twitter last week.
This means that with new criminal proceedings being brought in Montreal on Monday, the handover will be delayed.
The first appearance will take place on Tuesday, but it will definitely take several months to see the outcome of the Montreal case.
Nicard, who has been detained in Canada since mid-December, denies all charges against him.
