A Quebec who was hospitalized after being struck by an Amazonian stingray wants to warn travelers that he has repaid tens of thousands of dollars.

Julie Bob was attacked by a stingray last February while on the beach on the Brazilian island of Marazzo.
“A stingray releases a toxin that attacks the nervous system and sometimes leaves part of its tail, cartilage or bone. [lorsqu’elle pique]. It also infected my leg, ”he said.Me Bobbin.
She had to go to the hospital immediately. After that, as her health did not improve, she had to come back several times and get antibiotics.

The flexible, experienced traveler wants to prevent other travelers from going into a similar situation.
She advises to be familiar with destinations and their specialties because it is not always clear once there.
“There is a way to get into the water on the Amazon, pulling your legs to move the animals without stepping on them,” he gives an example.
He strongly recommends taking tour guides as much as possible.
“This guide will save your life two or three times without you knowing,” Ms Bobbin argues.
He also recommends always taking call minutes and internet data from the country where you are via SIM card.
“It will always be cheaper than Canada,” he insists.
Finally, before departure, he recommends figuring out how to collect calls depending on the country you are going to. He points out that since French is not spoken in all countries, it is important to speak English fluently while traveling.
