Quebecers will enjoy milder temperatures this Mother’s Day weekend, despite the forecast for mostly cloudy skies.
Environment Canada forecasts that the weekend will take place under partly cloudy skies, with little risk of heavy rain.
In the south of the province, particularly in Montreal, a generally cloudy sky with some sunshine is expected on Saturday morning. A risk of rain is being reported by the National Weather Service beginning this afternoon and into early Sunday morning. According to the federal agency’s forecast, the average temperature in the region on Saturday will be below 20 degrees.
Residents of the Quebec region will be spared the risk of rain this weekend, with slightly less cloudy skies and the same mild temperatures.
However, a dense band of clouds will hover over the western part of the province. In Abitibi-Témiscamingue, there is a strong chance of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon, according to MétéoMédia radar forecasts.
A cloudy trend will continue everywhere in Quebec except for Bas-Saint-Laurent until the beginning of the week, with more clearing starting on Sunday.
