Taylor Swift is bringing back the ‘1989’ era in full force. It even gets the band back together.

Swift apparently took a break from cheering on her rumored boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce for a girls’ night out in New York City on Saturday.

The “Anti-Hero” singer was spotted hanging out in the NoHo area with friends Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Sophie Turner and Brittany Mahomes. Gomez and Hadid became known as members of Swift’s squad, a friend group of successful women, in the late 2010s.

Swift and Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, have recently linked up over their NFL connection. During the Chiefs’ Oct. 22 game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Swift and Mahomes were seen sitting and dancing side by side. In a moment of excitement after the Chiefs’ first down, the duo teamed up for Ceremonial handshake.

The pop star and veteran football player also combined for some in-game celebrations during the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos on October 12. Swift and Mahomes made a lively duo, cheering enthusiastically throughout the game.

Mahomes isn’t the only Swift friend to join the singer at Kelce’s games. Turner, along with stars Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, appeared at the Chiefs’ game on Oct. 1 in New York. The “Game of Thrones” actress was seen in the booth as she made out with the Grammy Award-winning singer at the end of the game.

With the release of “1989 (Taylor’s Version)”, a re-recording of Swift’s 2014 album of the same name, Swift reflected on her decision to prioritize her female friendships in her mid-20s as a response to the “slut shaming” she claimed was subjected to her in the media.

“I have sworn never to go out with men, date, flirt, or anything that could be used as a weapon against me by a culture that claims to believe in women’s liberation but constantly treats me with the harsh moral codes of the Victorian era,” Swift wrote in her letter. Album intro. “Being a total optimist, I assumed I could fix this if I simply changed my behaviour. I vowed to stop dating and decided to focus solely on myself, my music, my growth, and my female friendships.
