FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. The Atlanta Falcons have been traded inside linebacker Deion Jones to the Cleveland Browns, the teams announced on Monday. Atlanta will also send a seventh-round pick in 2024 to Cleveland in exchange for a Cleveland sixth-round pick in 2024.
Originally selected in the second round (52nd) of LSU’s 2016 NFL Draft, Jones was in his seventh season in Atlanta. He has scored 650 total tackles (428 singles), 40 tackles for losses, 11 interceptions, 8.5 sacks and five defensive touchdowns throughout his career while earning a Pro Bowl honor once in 2018. He has not appeared on the active roster this season after being placed in IR On 1 September.
Atlanta currently has five indoor players on its active roster – Troy Andersen, Rashane Evans, Nick Kwiatkowski, Nathan Landman and Michal Walker.
