The 10 rarest amiibo figures of all time, ranked

Over the years, Nintendo has produced and released over 150 unique amiibo figures – some of which may now be rare. At the time of writing, fewer than fifteen of them are readily available from retailers. In fact, if you’re in the market for new figurines, you’ll have no choice but to buy them used. However, a small portion of it is considered higher than the rest. Many amiibo figures received region-exclusive or incredibly limited prints and were never restocked. Today, we’ll be learning about the ten rarest amiibo that may never return to store shelves.

Before we get started, an important note here: the few Gold Editions of Monster Hunter amiibo that exist have been produced, but have never made it to shelves. This is because these were exclusive to the winners of the competition. Since there are only two of each unit available, we will not list them here as they are most likely not for sale used. The amiibo we’ve listed below are ones that have reached the general public at some point, no matter how small the stock size.

1. My heart

With the above limitations in place, Qbby is left as the rarest amiibo ever. It was released only in Japan and exclusively with the bundled version of Bye-Bye BoxBoy. Since Qbby never reaches any other country, he often loses over $300. Who knew that the rarest amiibo would be a simple white square with dotted eyes!

2. Most Monster Hunter amiibo stories

This line of amiibo was only released in Japan. This alone guarantees that they will get a lot of money! Since they were produced for the previous Monster Hunter game, it’s almost certain that we’ll never see a restock of any of these statues.

3.Splatoon Alternate Colors 3-Piece Set

Two Splatoon three-packs were produced containing Inkling Girl, Inkling Squid, and Inkling Boy. Which is no Value contains orange ink girl, green ink squid, and blue ink boy. This version was released alongside the launch of the original Splatoon and is priced at around $20. Which is very The value contains Green Ink Girl, Orange Ink Squid, and Purple Ink Boy. It had a one-off reissue in 2015 and received very little in terms of exposure. These days, a complete three-piece set costs about $150 in excellent condition.

4. The Metroid: Samus Returns 2-pack

These Samus and Metroid statues were produced exclusively as two-packs in the United States. After being sold, it was never produced again. Nowadays, you can’t find them for less than $150 – they are some of the rarest amiibo available! Don’t confuse these figures with the Metroid Dread Samus figures and the EMMI amiibo – these two have been over-produced and generally sell for under $10.

5. Pikmin

Yes, there is an amiibo called “Pikmin”! Produced for Hey! Pikmin game on Nintendo 3DS, featuring all five types of Pikmin at once. As you might expect, it was produced once and never produced again, which is why it is losing at least $70. New in box, it costs more.

6. Mega Yarn Yoshi

Mega Yarn Yoshi was released exclusively at Toys’R’Us in 2015, retailed for $40 and already has a ton of stock. Unfortunately, when it sold, it sold out. Nintendo chose to release Yoshi’s Crafted World on Switch instead of porting Yoshi’s Woolly World, meaning this game and this amiibo will likely remain under the rug for years to come.

7. Pucci

Many of the rare amiibo games on this list were produced during the late 3DS era, and Poochy is no exception. Poochy + Yoshi’s Woolly World was printed once and never printed again. It will be hard to find it for less than $70. New in box, even more expensive.

8. Gold Mega Man

It’s hard to say if this really counts as a true amiibo for the Super Smash Bros. series, but it has the base. This was released as part of the Mega Man Legacy Collection on Nintendo 3DS – Limited Edition. The box it comes in is completely empty and white, so if you see a listing with a package like this, it’s probably legitimate.

9. Solaire Astura

This one is a little different from the others. It’s not the rarest amiibo on this list, but it has more counterfeit units than the rest of them combined. Fake Solaire amiibo devices are usually incredibly cheap, and do not have an NFC chip inside them. This means that it does not work when you try to use it in-game. Be very careful when purchasing this figure used!

10. Gold Mario Power-Up Band

Yes, this technically counts as an amiibo! This is a limited edition power band for Nintendo’s theme park, and at the time of writing it’s sold out – likely for good. It is marketed as having only limited quantities, so the price will continue to rise for the foreseeable future.

It is important to include the Super Smash Bros. series. Joker amiibo here as an honorable mention. At the time of writing, its price used is at least $70. However, there are rumors of amiibo being restocked for the Super Smash Bros. series, so it’s entirely possible we could see this statue back in stock at some point in the future.
