The Backbone One controller for Android is 30% off at Amazon for Prime Day

There are tons of great mobile games out there, and you can stream games either from the cloud, PS5, or Xbox. But for many games, using touch controls isn’t ideal. This is where the Backbone console comes in. It installs on your phone and allows you to use the great feeling controls to play your games. It normally sells for $100, but right now Amazon has a workhorse Android model on sale for $69.99. For one model, it’s not even a Prime Day deal, so you can get the sale price without being a member.

Backbone One Handheld Game Console for android

The Backbone comes in two models: a black and a white model modeled after (and officially licensed by) PlayStation. The latter even has triangle, square, cross, and circle buttons.

There are other reasons why a workhorse costs more than the average handheld console. The build quality is excellent, for starters. It feels good to use. It uses a USB-C connection to connect to your phone, so you get basically no latency and don’t have to fight with Bluetooth.

It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port that you can use to charge your phone while the console is on it, or to play on a larger screen, such as a TV or monitor. There’s also a free Backbone app that lets you know which games are compatible, and allows you to take videos of your in-game exploits. Check out our Backbone One review for more information.
