PBKreviews footage shows this, although the YouTuber has not directly compared the Pixel 8 Pro with any other flagship phones yet. However, some of its followers noted how well the phone maintained image quality at 10x digital zoom, despite only having a 5x telephoto camera. However, it remains to be seen if the Pixel 8 Pro uses its telephoto camera to take zoomed shots in all lighting conditions.
For example, the pixelated quality of the 10x and 30x night shots suggests that the device is cropping to its 50MP primary sensor instead. The YouTuber also showed off the Pixel 8 Pro’s video shooting capabilities, which you can see in the video embedded below. Overall, the device seems to handle daylight conditions with ease but does experience some lag when moving it at night. As with many modern smartphones, the phone also suffers from lens flare caused by direct light sources, but only in low-light conditions. Please see our launch article for more details on the Pixel 8 Pro and how it differs from its predecessor.
