Google Play Services is responsible for many of the features on modern Android, and the basic settings menu is now undergoing a redesign.
Once live, going to System Settings > Google reveals a new user interface with two tabs. The Recommended tab will show cards that provide a high-level overview of your account and available features. This may include: Backup, Nearby Sharing, Find My Device, Google Wallet, and a password manager.
This is a better way for Google to display relevant suggestions.
Meanwhile, the Find My Device card here reveals the new logo we spotted back in June. We see the detailed version of the upcoming crosshair icon that evokes radar and scanning, as well as how FMD will soon be home to trackers, tablets, watches, and headphones.
And with the Find My Device network launch delayed, we don’t expect this updated branding to appear until then.
The “Services on this device” list makes up the second tab. It currently includes: Ads, Autofill, Backup, Devices and Share, Find My Device, Game Dashboard, Parental Controls, Personal Safety, Personalize with Shared Data, Setup and Restore, Google Apps Settings, as well as COVID Exposure Notifications -19). . There are no changes here.
This Google Settings redesign is now being rolled out (h/t Mishaal Rahman), and we see it with version 23.32.55 of Google Play Services after subscription for the beta.
