Mortal Kombat 1 has been out for a little over a month, and it’s already gotten some significant changes.
NetherRealm Studios has just released the latest update for MK1 that hits Cyrax Kameo with the nerf hammer, adds a new skin to the Halloween stage and brings back a popular feature that was missing at launch.
Although patch notes have not yet been released, Rooflemonger and others have pointed out that Cyrax’s horizontal turn assist now requires a full Kameo scale to perform.
The Mortal Kombat 1 patch has been released, and Liu Kang has hit the reset button in the new era to start over
Cyrax Horizontal rotation now requires a full Cameo Scale to perform. They were just waiting for the ECT to finish, and they knew that it couldn’t stay like this haha. pic.twitter.com/sqIGvDJAg3

This is a pretty big change for the undisputed best Kameo in the game to take up twice the resources on a move that was very good in combos and chains.
This means there will likely be more balance changes as well, but we’ll have to wait for the full breakdown to get the scope of what’s really different.

On top of Cyrax damage, NRS has also added a new version of the Halloween stage to the Cage Mansion, which will likely be available for a limited time for free.
Fortunately, they’ve finally added the ability to pin movements to the screen as well for improved learning and practice options.
Today’s big patch is now live, and transfer marks are officially back. As always, make sure your game is up to date and kombat ready before you get started. Full patch notes will be available soon. #MK1 pic.twitter.com/Mio38SKMVd
