Netflix and The Pokémon Company are collaborating on a new series called Pokemon Concierge. The new show, which premieres in 2023, will take advantage of a different side of the Pokémon world, moving away from fighting and catching everything. Pokemon Concierge It comes from Dwarf Studios, the animation studio behind the stop-motion anime on Netflix Rilakkuma and Kaoru — so expect the same kind of soft oomph in this new series.
Pokemon Concierge It follows a janitor named Haru who works at a Pokémon resort. This is, as the name suggests, a resort that caters to Pokémon. Haru will encounter various guest Pokémon and help them with their stays at the resort. The brief teaser shows a little Psyduck strolling across a beach. If this show looks like anything Rilakkuma and Kaoruit will be a very cool and wonderful slice of life.
“We have a group of experts here in Japan who are passionate about finding and developing original stories here in Japan that will interest audiences around the world,” said Minyoung Kim, Vice President of Content, Asia Pacific (excluding India), Netflix. “We are committed to adapting fan-favorite stories and manga into extraordinary offerings.”
There is no release date currently set for Pokemon Concierge, but Kim promised that fans will watch the show this year. As for additional Pokemon Shows, nothing new was revealed during the Pokémon Presents show, but as of last year, a new live-action Pokémon series was also in the works on the streaming device.
