A 42-year-old man involved in organized crime was murdered in the middle of dinner last night in the presence of several customers, including small children, at a restaurant in Laval.
According to our information, the victim in this murder was Bernard Cerfon.
At least two suspects were shot in the head with at least one bullet in the head before exploding inside a Vietnamese restaurant at 7:25 p.m.
Laval Police Department spokesman Genevieve Major said the man was eating at the table when his assailants targeted him.
Hiding under the table
At least two young children who came to the scene were attacked.
“They heard two shots, they hid under the table, their father, who came to pick them up at the crime scene anonymously, says I’m 37, I have never seen this in my life. My boy is 3 years old, my daughter is 7 years old.”
Upon leaving the restaurant, the victim may have been subjected to life-saving maneuvers.
His death was announced at the hospital.

The offenses against individuals in Sûreté du Québec will be investigated by the Laval Police.
Drugs and fraud
Serfan, the leader of a cell linked to a Lebanese organized crime, escaped an assassination attempt in 2015 with a gun.
Police intelligence describes him as a drug importer, smuggler and fraudster.
The Montreal Police’s application investigation revealed that Cerfon was associated with the Mafioso Giuseppe Focaraso’s organization.
He pleaded guilty in 2002 to a murder threat.
