The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is rumored to be unveiled on January 17, 2024, and previous leaks have already given us a good idea of what to expect from the Galaxy S24 lineup. The Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra are rumored to be the “smartest AI phones ever”, and the latest leak reveals two AI-powered features we'll see in the S24 trio – live translation and generative editing.
The word comes from user X Arsene Lupine (@MysteryLupin), who posted a photo of what could be an incomplete list of retailer stores. The description of Live Translate states that the processing will be done on-device to help you communicate in different languages in real-time with the S24 trio.
Geneative Edit appears to be Samsung's answer to Google's Magic Editor, which will require a Samsung account and an active internet connection to work, meaning processing will likely take place in the cloud.
Images of the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra have been leaked by Arsene Lupine
The image mentions three other features – night photography zoom, high resolution, and screen display. But there is no confirmation whether these improvements will use any AI improvements.
High Resolution will let you take photos at the highest resolution supported by the phone's primary camera, i.e. 50MP on the S24 and S24+ and 200MP on the S24 Ultra. Night photography is self-explanatory, while the Screen Display confirms the S24 Ultra's “flat screen” and “larger, brighter displays” on the S24 and S24+ compared to their predecessors.
We're just over two weeks away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup, so expect to hear more about the flagships of the 2024 Korean lineup in the coming days. In the meantime, you can check out the table below for the leaked specs sheet for the Galaxy S24 trio.
