Max released a first look at what’s coming Sand dunes TV series.
Below is a trailer for Dune: Prophecy, which brings a story from author Frank Herbert’s sci-fi epic to the small screen this fall. The video was premiered during a Warner Bros. presentation. Discovery Upfront in New York City on Wednesday.
Official description: “10,000 years before the rise of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy It follows two Harkonnen sisters as they battle forces that threaten humanity’s future, and found the legendary sect that would come to be known as the Bene Gesserit.
Dune: Prophecy Inspired by the novel Brotherhood of the DunesWritten by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, the first season consists of six episodes. The show was originally titled Dunes: Brotherhood.
The project comes after the tremendous success it achieved Sand Dunes: Part Two Which grossed $710 million worldwide at the box office. The series is co-produced by Max and Legendary Television (Legendary also produces the film franchise).
About the series Alison Schapker (margin) serves as showrunner and executive producer. The series stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodi May, Mark Strong, Sarah Sophie Bousnina, Josh Huston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Fawelian Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Bron-Franklin, Jihai. Tabu, Sharithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yirin Ha.
Additional credits: Diane Ademu-John co-developed the series and serves as executive producer. Anna Forster (A stranger from home) executive produced and directed multiple episodes, including the first episode. Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, Matthew King, Scott Z. Burns, and Jon Spaihts are executive producers with creator Brian Herbert, along with Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert as executive producers for the Frank Herbert estate. Creator Kevin J. Anderson serves as associate producer.
