The third season of “Bridgerton” is classified among other Netflix seasons

Bridgerton season 3 has ended Netflix For a few days now, and that’s been enough for both critics and fans to form opinions on at least the first four episodes, given that Netflix has cut the season in half and will release the other four episodes a month from now in June.

But we can only review what is in front of us, and here we are. Is season 3 better or worse than the other seasons? And did you know that the season with the best ratings ever will surprise you? Maybe not.

Below is the ranking order of critic and audience scores for Bridgerton across Rotten tomatoesincluding reviews of the first half of season three.

  • Bridgerton Season 1 – 87% critics, 71% audience
  • Bridgerton Season 2 – 77% critics, 75% audience
  • Bridgerton Season 3 – 82% critics, 89% audience
  • Queen Charlotte (prequel) – 95% critics, 73% audience

So, the good news is that Season 3 of Bridgerton currently has the highest viewership of any season by a very large margin, which means that people definitely seem to be connecting with the story.

It was also reviewed better than the second season, though worse than the first season, and apart from that, Queen Charlotte is a favorite among critics, though it is second-worst rated by audiences. But all of these numbers are in the “good” range and the show hasn’t dropped a truly bad season yet, or even close to one.

This is good news for Netflix who no doubt plan to renew this indefinitely given the miles of source material available and the fact that these seasons are widely watched and generally well-liked. In an era where Stranger Things and The Crown are gone, Netflix needs its core products and a series like Bridgerton fits the bill perfectly. We’ve seen this time and time again, and I wouldn’t be surprised that once the numbers come in, this third season will eclipse the early totals of the other three seasons here.

The biggest challenge facing Bridgerton is the long gap between seasons as fans have to wait years to get new seasons. But now with seasons three and four renewed at the same time, and season four no doubt in development for a while, that wait time may be reduced. But speaking of waiting, I’m not sure how fans will enjoy this, as they need to wait a month for the next batch of four episodes. I assume that these results can go up or down after that.
