A 19-year-old international student has been arrested on suspicion of taking photos of young women on his phone while showering in a University of Toronto residence hall between January and March 2024.

According to police, the victims found the phone above the shower curtain while they were changing and washing. The events reportedly took place at Wilson Hall University residence in the area of ​​Spadina Avenue and Wilcox Street.

The suspect then fled the bathroom.

Already in October 2023, Toronto police were trying to identify a man who had been loitering in women's restrooms and gender-neutral showers at the University of Toronto's St. George campus.

Between July and October 2023, the latter allegedly placed his cell phone under the door and filmed the young students without their knowledge.
