A Levi’s dealer managed to convince friends that he would be able to open the doors of his establishment on Saturday morning, when three employees told him at the last minute that they could not be.
The owner of Boucherie des Chutes, Mark Fournier, took to social media to ask for help after learning that three young part-time clerks were missing.

“In 15 years, I’ve never seen that,” he says in an interview Newspaper. I happened to have a person like everyone else call Not sick, but two or three at a time, it didn’t happen.
Panicking less than an hour before opening his shop in Charney, the butcher admitted he considered staying out the door for a few minutes when the weather was favorable enough to prepare a nice dinner on the barbecue.
“It would have been terrible because it was a weekend day and the weather was so nice, but I don’t see how we could have served the customers with two people when we usually have five of us.”

After a few minutes of his desperate efforts to find labor, Mr. Fournier had already received a message from a member of his entourage asking him to help out for the day.
After a while, a friend’s daughter came over and offered to lend a hand.
“It was completely unexpected. It’s in these moments that you see how important it is to surround yourself in life. Another friend who lives more than 45 minutes from here offered to help, but I don’t want to exaggerate,” says the owner of Boucherie des Suites.

The new reality
Like many employers, the experienced butcher had to adapt to the new reality of the labor market during a labor shortage.
Unlike some, he says he has never had a major problem with his employees. Workers who leave work after two days without notice or leave work in the middle of a shift are not part of his daily life.
