The 2023 WWE Draft will begin on live SmackDown this coming Friday from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, and will then conclude on May 1 RAW from Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
For what it’s worth, Brock Lesnar has been announced by WWE to appear in Draft RAW, which is also the brand’s red home show for WWE Backlash. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns has not yet been announced to appear on either draft show. Lesnar and Reigns are eligible for draft.
WWE has released a list of the 96 Superstars eligible to participate in the draft, as shown below.
It is interesting to note that there are several injured Superstars who are eligible for draft picks from the Roster of 96, such as AJ Styles and Kofi Kingston, but there are also injured Superstars who are currently on the official RAW and SmackDown rosters, but not on the Roster of 96. The names are from the Roster of 96. The official RAW roster includes Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Dabba-Kato, R-Truth, Randy Orton, Robert Roode, and Tommaso Ciampa. The names from the official SmackDown roster are Aliyah, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Drew Gulak, Jinder Mahal, Naomi, and Shanky. Superstars like Kato and Mahal have been working in WWE NXT, but they are still included in the official main roster, unlike Apollo Crews and others, who have been officially moved to the NXT roster.
Superstars included in WWE’s current official roster but excluded from the 96 roster are Lesnar, Gable Stevenson, John Cena, Logan Paul, and Shane McMahon. While Lesnar has been a RAW star on his recent programming, he has not been officially added to the red brand list.
WWE has not yet confirmed that there will be NXT call-ups in this year’s WWE Draft, but they were included on this week’s NXT pay-per-view. You can click here for new spoiler details on potential draft picks.
